Celebrate the Winter Solstice with the energizing sounds of the ancestral Taiko drums. Taikoza, a leading international Taiko drum group, will bring its powerful rhythms, big taiko drums (6 foot drum), and electrifying, room-thumping energy. This exciting percussion group draws from Japan’s rich tradition of music and performance. With traditional costumes and dynamic motion, Taikoza’s shows are immensely popular with audiences of all ages. The program includes colorful folk dances, traditional pieces as well as exciting new compositions played on the Taiko, the Koto, the Shakuhachi and the Fue Artistic Director: Marco Lienhard Guest: Ryuko Mizutani
